Capt. Nathaniel Lemmon poling an ECC Lostmen

East Cape Skiffs -- Lostmen

You will find yourself on an East Cape Skiffs Lostmen when booking your fishing charter with Capt. Nathaniel Lemmon. He has been with ECC since they opened their doors for business and began building their custom line of poling skiffs. Capt. Nathaniel is an ECC Pro-Staff member and runs their boat exclusively.

Lostmen with Underwater Mosquito Lagoon RedfishThe ECC Lostmen easily accomodates 1-2 anglers and a guide, with the ability to carry a third angler. Capt. Lemmon's 18' boat is one of the leading skiffs on the market. The Lostmen is perhaps the most stable flats skiff on the water; so there is no wobbly legs and no adjustment period anglers find they need on most other poling skiffs on the water.

Fishing Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River Lagoon requires super shallow poling draft and running ability. Completely loaded with fuel, gear, anglers, and guide, the East Cape Canoes & Skiff Lostmen runs and poles in water barely 6 inches deep.

ECC Lostmen casting deckOnce on board Capt. Nate's custom built Lostmen, a giant hatch in the forward deck provides adequate dry storage for anglers to keep all their personal belongings dry. Capt. Nathaniel also has opted for a 72 quart insulated cooler ensuring you have plenty of room for drinks and food, meaning no need for you to tote an extra cooler along. The forward deck features over 40 square foot of casting space. When Fly Fishing, toe rails are on the deck keeping your fly line neatly gathered at your feet. Capt. Nathaniel also has a 55# thrust trolling motor, allowing him to work in strong tidal areas or deeper water that a push pole just won't do. It's easily removable, within 5 seconds, so fly fisherman shouldn't worry about any potential snags.

Inside the cockpit, 10 built in rod tubes provide plenty of storage room for rods and reels. Being nearly 10' in length, they are also big enough for most fly rods. Because Capt. Nathaniel operates a tiller ECC Lostmen, there's no center or side console to get in your way, allowing 360 degrees of fishing room.

His ECC Lostmen is pushed by a quiet and fuel efficient 40hp Honda 4-stroke. Getting nearly 10 miles to the gallon in gas mileage, and coupled with a 15 gallon fuel tank, Capt. Nathaniel can travel well nearly 150 miles in a day with no worries about getting home.
